The multidisciplinary team includes operations, policy, security, service design, software engineers, business analysts, testers, product managers and subject experts in tax and employment.
All the people in the room are empowered to decide on the design of Universal Credit.
The team is deciding what to build for the next iteration. The new software and service will be released into a production environment in two weeks. Design, build, quality, and acceptance testing are all baked into the release cycle.
User needs are the starting point. Assumptions, decisions and follow-up questions are captured as they go.
